Storage
Fridge storage basics
Keep it cold, covered and organised to stay safe.
Typical storage time: Cooked leftovers: cool within 2 hours, fridge and eat within 2 days
Best for
- Dairy, cooked leftovers, raw meat (bottom shelf), opened jars
Avoid for
- Leaving food uncovered
- Overfilling (blocks cold air)
Good to know
Keep the fridge at 0–5°C. Store raw meat on the bottom shelf in a sealed container so it can't drip onto other food. Don't put hot food straight in.
